It's been quite a while since I posted anything. Fell down a pretty deep rabbit hole of depression and despair. But I'm turning things around. Moved in to a new house. Got a new job. Got good friends and my family who love me. Things are getting better. Just wanted to let some of y'all know I'm still kickin'... Who knows, maybe I'll start writing again. I think I'd like to. Anyhoo, this is a great song I'd like to share. Maybe I'll see y'all around soon.
Damn Mayberry sorry to hear of the issues but glad to hear your getting squared away man, We miss ya. Glad to have ya let us know your your still with us... Best wishes.
Sorry to hear about the depression. Most people don't understand just how insidious it can be and that one doesn't just "get over it". Glad to hear about new job and new house and that you have friends and family that stand behind you. Hope to hear from you again soon.
Imagine my surprise, and delight, to see a fresh post from your old blog. Welcome back. I've been on the road the last few days so missed it when it went up. I must admit, I was a bit worried about you. You were out of work with an injury last anyone heard from you.
Just got back to Florida from NH. Had to take my dad's ashes home for burial. Such is life. However, my lovely wife and I are in the process of fitting out an old Ranger 23 sailboat for cruising. We'll be disappearing out on the water soon.

Glad to see you're doing better. I've never commented here before, but have followed your blog for years. I always liked reading what you had to say, as we have been traveling a similar path (lack of funds, family not on board, depression, etc). I never cared for reading from people who could buy all the "cool" expensive gear and storable foods. It just isn't relevant to my life. I am sure there are many more like me that you have helped. Thanks and hope to see you around here more often.
Hey, glad to see you poking your head back in the window. :^) Hope you and your family have a great Christmas / New Years. Less than one year and Obummers successor will be selected.
Hang in there man. It's not a fun place sometimes. I'm maybe getting back to work after nearly six months off. The longest time off since I graduated from college and started my dubious career in 1985. But then again, it might not happen. I should retire, but I can't afford it.
Guitar and a wife who can't figure out how to shoot a gun keeps me going.
Thanks everyone for the comments. I know it's been a while but still very busy and haven't had much time. Things have changed some now and I'll have more time soon. Loco Gato, I might be joining your ranks soon. Looking at a Gulf Coast 29. Cosmetically good but needs sails and some other stuff. The price is right though...
I don't drop by here often but I'm glad to see that you've decided to start postin' again. I hadn't figured that there was much that could keep you down for the count.

Call me old fashioned, call me an old softie, but damn it, I had tears in my eyes watching that. Thanks for posting.
