Today, March 19, 2011, marks the 8th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. The question of whether we need a draft will always be important as long as this country is placing thousands of its young men and women in harm's way.
Based on false pretenses of weapons of mass destruction and involvement in the 9/11 attacks, the unfunded war in Iraq has cost our nation not only $800 billion dollars, but the lives of more than 4,400 brave American patriots. Over 32,000 U.S. soldiers have also been seriously wounded in the war we should not have been in the first place...
...Having a draft does not necessarily mean that everyone called to duty would be required to serve in the Armed forces. Whether that service to our country is in our military, in our schools, in our hospitals, or in our airports, the Universal National Service act would require young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 to commit themselves to two years of national service....
So... This idiot, criminal CONgress cockroach, who thinks we shouldn't have gone to war, wants to bring back the draft so they can keep shipping warm bodies to the slaughter house. Orwellian doublespeak as it gets there Chuck. Your motives are not hidden behind that thin veil of "Bush lied, people died". You are just as much a war monger as the rest of the criminal CONgress.
Better get ready folks, they're coming for your kids. The middle east is on fire, because we lit the match. Russia and China are not happy with us, and for good reason. This stuff is about to explode...

We had a National Guard brigade leave out of here yesterday, Mayberry, in southern Indiana...big ceremony at the high school fieldhouse to send them off. Funny, I always thought our National Guard was to defend OUR OWN soil...ya know...STATESIDE??
Troubling times, indeed. It's almost more than a hippy girl like me can take...but I'll keep on truckin' and squeeze every small bit of joy outta this life that I can. I fear it's all we have left.

What gets me is the fact that everybody is acting surprised. I've been saying for almost 3 decades now that the Lord showed me WW3 was a coming, and would be fought on American soil the way WW2 was fought on European, and have pretty much the same effect on America as the last did on Europe. This country is boned and just doesn't know it yet. They don't want to know it.

hate to correct you all; WW III began with the building of the Berlin Wall and ended when it came down. Bush started off WW IV with the invasion of Iraq and it has been going on well.
