This Life Is Bullshit

I really don't want to hear anyone's line of crap about how "life is what you make it". That's a line of shit, fed to you by the same assholes that brainwash you into believing the government is good, and the free market still exists. By the same asswipes that tell you we are not in the next Great Depression. These people are fucking liars.

Do you honestly think you're gonna be able to retire at 55 like your parents did? 65? Shit, folks my age are gonna have to work 'til they're 70. Probably longer, because Socialist Security is already bankrupt. That shit is gone, forget about it. You're getting robbed every month for it, but you'll never see a fucking dime if you're under 40.

Meanwhile, you're getting raped by energy companies, various and sundry corporations, and the federal fucking government. You are a slave to your job, and in debt up to your ears, not even counting car loans, credit cards, student loans, etc. Just the mortgage is enough to enslave you for decades, and it's the biggest ripoff ever devised. You're paying twice the price for the house, never mind the taxes and fucking "insurance".

Tell me, why is it that I can be arrested for "insurance fraud", but the assholes that rip us off every month walk away scot-free? I paid $800 per year for "insurance", which basically covered only fire and theft. That is, until they dropped my coverage all together! They pulled out and hauled ass with untold billions in premiums from Corpus residents, and left us out to dry. Never mind that the cockroaches in CONgress have failed to renew the flood "insurance" (ripoff) program.

Piss on this shit. I've had it with being ripped off by a bunch of self serving asswipes. Take your "insurance" and stuff it up your ass. Take your "property taxes" and go burn in hell. Take your "mortgage" and jump off a fucking cliff for your robbery. Take your "rules" and go pound sand. Everything is stacked against Freedom and the Free Market. This sorry ass country isn't even a shell of what it was supposed to be. So wrap that up in a flag and fucking burn it, because I don't believe in this shit hole anymore. Happy Fourth of fucking July slaves, hope you enjoy your servitude as you "celebrate freedom". You pathetic fucking retards....

Whiskey*Tango*Foxtrot!! You don't sugarcoat your words, I read your blog everyday and I feel your pain. I have been taking baby steps toward prepping but now I have accelerated my preps because of your rants. Thank you.

Wow, Seems like somebody could use a hug. Or maybe an afternoon at the range and then a 6 pack.

I think I'm the "life is what you make of it" guy so I will not use that phrase over here anymore. My bad.

Your every word is a total contradiction of your own ideals.

First you want the benefits of "socialist" security so he can retire at 65... early enough to enjoy life and have some time off so you don't have to "work work work" and "slave" for every penny.

But then you whine about wanting a "real" free market which would not have "socialist security" or any decent worker protections.

"Free market" is just code words for big business having no rules to follow... if they have no rules they sure as hell won't treat workers like you and me fairly. That's why the giant corps have taken our American jobs to countries that let them run sweat shops... 16 hour work days... 7 day work weeks... pour pollution from the factories out of pipes into ditches.

The only time the working class in the country had a good deal was when the unions were strong and liberals put in place "Socialist" security... which gave us the 40 hour work week, paid vacations, health care, some pensions... and Soc Sec guaranteed income at retirement.

By the way... if you added up the money you put into Soc Sec estimated even 10% interest every year you would still use up every penny you ever put into Soc Sec within 3-5 years. After that it's just welfare. Yup. After 5 years of collecting Soc Sec you've drained every penny you ever put in, with interest figured.

I did an extensive research paper on Soc Sec with no prejudice for or against it... just wanting to know... and that is one of the shocking things I learned about it.

So you can have your "free market" and be treated like a sweat shop slave, or you can have your worker protections and "socialist security" and work 40 hours per week and retire at 65.

+Million. I'm with you buddy. When I see folks working around "their" house, I see servants tiding up their master's property. What a con. Pay rent to the landlord banksters for thirty years; mow the lawn, trim the bushes, make the repairs, add improvements, pay the taxes....and in the end when you have paid it off to the bank, THEN the state owns it. Pay your property taxes, bitches! Enjoy the holiday your masters have provided for you and don't forget to vote for your next plantation owner this November.

Ryan, range and six pack doesn't do it any more...

Anon 7:36 methinks you missed the point. I was pointing out what a ripoff Socialist Security is to the younger generations who will never see a dime of their money returned. On free markets I'd rather take my chances and have Freedom versus safety for slavery. I do not want SS. I DO want to keep what I earn! Unions, liberals, they can take a hike. The real power lies in the Free Individual, who can choose what he wants, or is willing to do.

Kudos.... Kudos! You get it! Thank God, somebody gets it. Thank you for getting it...

Independence Day! (Yeah right).
In towns all over the country how many of those watching the fireworks tonight (Bought with tax dollars), cashed their welfare checks 3 days ago to buy their Beer and got their 4th of July BBQ meats with food stamps?
In the new America maybe we should be calling it "Dependence" day!
(Independence day my ass)...

Hi Mayberry,

I'm with Ryan. Hugs for everybody!

Also, I think the correct quote is "Life is like a box of chocolates".(Ironic humor)

I feel ya, dawg, and I concur.

Anon 7:36,

Looks like freedom has failed again. I sure wish we could have some more slavery to protect us from ourselves and those nasty corporations. May your chains hang lightly.

Kudos,

Great comment!

Mayberry, you are definitely well beyond the range time and 6 pack cure. It's like putting a band-aid on a sucking chest wound. Better than nothing, but it ain't gonna cure you.

Gave up on "the system" back in '93. Got screwed then pretty good. Been going down a different path ever since waking up from the American Nightmare.

I'm not in the SS system. Haven't had a "real job" in almost 17 years. Haven't had to pay income taxes the last few years. Yes, I'm starving the beast.

Got that whole mortgage and property taxes thing, but it's not killing me. Would not break my heart to chuck that too. It's just stuff.

Take heart that on this Independence Day, I'm raising a glass of tax free booze in your honor.

Life here in the U.S. is turning into bullshit and has been for some time. Even those who are trying to live off the radar, self sufficient, whatever are constantly hassled and there will be new ways to tax that also with new laws etc. Everything now has a law and a tax and permit requirements. Working a job is a nightmare of deductions that give no benefits. Do the math annonymous - health insurance, insurance of all kinds now are scams and for the govt to make it mandetory is reason just by itself for an uprising.

Well anyway, i know a six pack just wont do it anymore - just ask the case a day welfare couch rot down the road supported by our wonderful tax dollar deductions.

Rock on Mayberry, and Happy Fourth!!

chickengirl said...

Annony - you just want to put your head in the sand - Social Security is one of the biggest ponzi scams of all time - it was never meant to be paid out like today because the average life span back then wasnt much over 55 - 60 yrs!!!!

come on now - why do you think they keep raising the retirement age - they hope you DIE first!!!LOL

Well anyway, rock on Mayberry, more bullshit coming our way everyday, and the anonymouses of the world will help feed it to us if they keep making excuses like i just read.

And i sympathize, a six pack just wont do it anymore - just ask the "case" a day drug dealing, whoring welfare recipient sitting in front of the satellite Big screen TV under the good ol AC this summer - existing off our tax dollars - illegal mandetory deductions from anonymous's paycheck that are going to go even higher in the near future.

we are being taken over by crooks. what disgusts me more is that we handed over the keys. we signed the mortgage, accepted the credit cards and so on. i think very few of us have spotless hands. i want my country and freedoms back and am remorseful of the american comsumerism i worshipped. so while you rant and rave... i question if your hands are spotless either.

Ryan, I can agree with you to an extent. If a human being suffers or dies at the hands of either a criminal or a tyrannical government, did those victims reap what they sowed?

Annon 7:36, our country dropped the Free Market at the beginning of the industrial revolution. What took it's place was a Corporate Oligarchy, which has placed 95% of this nations total wealth in the hands of the top 10%. The free markets were not to blame, the dumbed down masses, ie(Sheeple) have allowed this to happen because of the entitlement mentality that has exploded through this country for the last 100 years.

Of all socalled isim's of what ever type of governmental system you chose, the Free Market is the only system that allows for true freedom for the "Sovereign Individual", not the lazy and wasteful masses that make up the majority (Democracy), whether they are poor or so called privileged.

If you choses to live under any of the isim's, then life will be what you have made of it.

Seriously, MB, get a grip. Sometimes you are one of the most lucid, interesting, thought provoking people I read on a daily basis. Then you go off on one of these...have you seen "Cinderella Man"? If not, why don't you watch it, then reflect on how "bad" we have it. I often wondered why my grandma lived such a frugal lifestyle, I'm talking she could make a nickel cry, when her and my grandad made a pretty darn good living. That movie made me realize just how bad they had it in the 30's, and then my parents in the 50's, trying to scratch out a living through depression and drought, when a slice of baloney and a hens egg was sometimes the daily ration. Yeah, we're a long way from where we ought to be as a country, I'm scared of what my kids and grandkids are going to have to go through...but we're root hog or die kind of folks....those kind always make it...somehow...I try to stay positive for them.

Dave, "Ya never know what you're gonna get...."

Sixbears, "bandaid on a sucking chest wound" I like that one... You need to write a book on that.

China, exactly...

Chickengirl, you said it. Twice. Thanks...

Anon 2:57, no, not spotless. Got married at 23, bought first house at 26 when my head was still firmly planted up my ass. Had cars, credit cards... Now all I have left is the house, which I'd saw my left arm off with a dull butterknife to be rid of. Yes, I've got one spot on my hand. But I'm scrubbing it like a madman...

Anon 4:37, I like what you said about Free markets.

Native, we are heading into something that will make the 30s look like a walk in the park, with a little totalitarian nanny state/police state Orwellian type stuff thrown in for good measure. And it burns my ass that everyone is gonna sit and let it happen. My cork pops, steam released, back to lucid/interesting/thought provoking (thank you, by the way). Hey, like everything else in life, ya gotta take the good with the bad, right? Well you don't HAVE to.... Anyhoo, if you think I'm bad now, rewind this blog a year or two. I've mellowed....

Did it MY way said...

There was a time in this country when anyone who wanted to work could find a job. Everybody had that desire for a wife, couple of kids, house with a white picket fence.

Even those who dropped out of high school could make a living wage and raise a family.

When Corporations found ways to make huge profits by ignoring the people who made them rich, our standard of living started down hill.

Today a single man who gets rid of the house, and deceides to starve the beast can do so quite easy. The family man...catch 22. The man lucky enough to have a woman who thinks alike even easier than the single guy.

The government just wants us all to work until we die.

The old saying "Freedom does not come Free". The price you chose to pay will determine how free you will be.

God Bless each to his or her choice.

See Ya.

Mayb,
I see it not so much as the corps vs the citizen, but the Big Gubbment imposing Nanny-State rules WAYYY beyond their original boundaries. And since shit happens to roll downhill, we get to deal with it at the bottom.

Not sure of the writer (possibly an early Founding Father?), but "he" said that government should be kept small enough to drown in a bathtub. Obviously not the case anymore these days.

Please take care. Get some home therapy, whatever form it may take. We need you around for awhile longer, and I'd hate to see you go by some stress-induced cause, i.e., heart attack or stroke.

Anon @ 7:36

"By the way... if you added up the money you put into Soc Sec estimated even 10% interest every year you would still use up every penny you ever put into Soc Sec within 3-5 years."

bullshit.

assuming a less then average income ($40k household) 15% of that (the real ss take) is $6000 per annum; working at that average from 25-65 years results in $240,000 taken from you. Assuming no interest at all, this represents six years' worth of income, not "3-5 years". With your stated 10% return on private investments the result would be a future value of $2.65 million. That future value divided by the previous rate of use (income) then results in a total of SIXTY SIX YEARS of income @ $40k, assuming no further growth in principal. So, you expect to live 66 years longer after retiring @ 65?

You might even have something left to pass on to your progeny.

I think you were cheated in your education.

O.K. agreed, but what are ya gonna do? Throw grenades at the local courthouse? I'm telling you, we're just gonna have to hunker down, vote (while we can) take care of our own, it's gonna be like afghanistan here some day, local enclaves, maybe regional alliances, hell I don't know I'm worried too, but going off half cocked and making a target of yourself is only going to end up bad. Like you say, starve the beast as well as you can, prepare, steel yourself and your family for what is coming down the pike, it will be ugly for sure, but this I know, as bad as it seems, we're still free...this life don't suck...I'm glad I'm living in this time...only other time I can think of I would like better is to be a free trapper by God....but then there's always the blackfoot...or maybe they're crow...

Mayberry said...

Anon 4:18, sick 'em! : )

Texan, how about we march on the district of criminals. A million men with loaded rifles, and a message of "NO MORE!" Making a "target" of myself, meh. I don't care. We're not free, flip off a cop and find out. Don't pay your taxes and find out. Send a few nastygrams to your "representative"
and find out. "Free trapper"? Too damn many laws, rules, and regs. Where you gonna trap? Not too many places, unless you own some land. We're not free, not by a longshot.

Mayberry said...

Zombie, thanks. Weird stuff going on with comments, yours just showed up today...

I was talking about the movie "Mountain Men", watch it and you'll see what my comment about free trappers, blackfoot, and crow is all about. No, I know we're not free now, not by a long shot as far as laws and regs go, but I don't say "sir" to nobody unless I want to, and I don't have to hold my hat in my hand and say "yessa massa" to any man....
